One of Canada’s most reputed news source, The Toronto Star has reported Aga Khan Foundation for “lack of transparency” and as one of the charities which do not release their audited financial statements to the public and refused to provide them to an independent agency that evaluates charities.   1. I am in total agreement with the writer that the Aga Khan foundation and other financial operations in Ismaili institutions need more transparency. Accountability is lacking in every aspect not only financial – I would like to see more accountability to the people – Ismailies need to learn more about fundamental human rights, for example.
